......have lost the thread about fruit - leaf days etc.

I agree, it's probably twaddle but I do have days when I can taste far better than others.

For eg. I drink Kenco Smooth which has a very subtle but very lovely biscuity aftertaste. If I can taste the biscuit then I will be able to taste the hops in my hoppy Hopping Hares and the boxwood on my Villa Maria Wairau MSB and can even tell battered cod from battered haddock. If I can't taste the biscuit on my coffee then my hoppy beer will taste like lager my VM WR MSB will taste like Explorer's Vineyard from the CoOp and, but for the difference in colour, would not be able to tell cod from salmon.

Just sayin'

Just turned my computer on. Windows signed me in under a new profile. My desktop looked like a brand new computer. I clicked on IE and before getting online I got a message saying thank you for downloading Google Toolbar.

I closed down and re booted all ok except that GT was now on my computer. Now removed.

What happened there.

Well, GTB must have snuck in somehow. That, Yahoo and other similar toolbars are a nightmare.

Sorry - Not Wine related. But could be useful advice.

Excluding security updates from the Windows Centre, which you are strongly advised to take if you surf the web

Three updates have been Automatically delivered to your MS Windows PC recently.

Snuck In......

You need to go to control panel and then set your Updates to "Advise me when an Update is delivered, the middle button.
Windows defaults to the recommended 1st Button which is ** idiot proof, but not always what you may want, all of the time.

The Yellow shield or Adobe red box on the bottom grey toolbar right hand side will appear when you choose the middle button, when the next update arrives from the Windows security centre - The Advise Me option. Open that Yellow Shield or Red Box and update manually by ticking the boxes in the Updates window that you actually need and want.

Very recently, these may have been delivered without your knowing**
Adobe XI pdf reader has come in, with minor window advice
Adobe flashplayer has come in
NVidia update graphics and screen driver has been delivered, for Geforce 7050PV and Nforce 630a drivers for windows 7 - You are advised - not to accept for XP SP3 on an AMD multi processor.

Adobe flashplayer will give you the Google Chrome tool bar, unless you deliberately uncheck it, which you cannot do unless you manually choose to install the Flashplayer update. I hope I haven't taught anyone to suck eggs - sorry if I have.

I will delete this post farly soon, if nobody gets anything useful out of it.

Thanks, Dunc.

Adobe always asks me if I want to download and the last time I did I manually refused Google Chrome.

This must be a Windows auto update with GT attached but hidden away.

I didn't mention it when Ba asked cos I never thought Windows would be that sly.
