Hmmnn. Let me think. Hedge Your Bets !

The Cheltenham gold cup was 3 months ago this Saturday.
Reading are doing quite well on the pitch.
Just 20 minutes from Reading, Lady Day was jolly nearly a soggy event.
Goose and Mel find Ned '10 differently, but both views end up nearer the back of the field.

Ah yes.....

"Two miles won't be a bother, but that extra half mile tends to bridge the gap between tough stayers and group hxxxxx. Not many in the field have the credentials or indeed pretensions to be the latter, but Duncan certainly does"

Indeed, there are 2 Gold Cups. Jumps at Cheltenham and Silly Hats at Ascot. Duncan led at one stage but...

Hope you got a good rub down. That Picpoul would go well with the hay and grass.

Languedoc 2005 wines. Picpoul '05 was rated a Quaffers star by Mel, see below

Dark colour. Interesting savoury smell, some pith. Very tasty, good acid but fat as well. Very interesting
.

If buying, I'd look for the '09s, because the southern Rhones are better than the '08s. Buy and try, and then wait a teeny bit more to get the best out of it.

Oh !

What did Mel say of the '08 ?

Vintage '05 thru to '08. From what you say; Don't bother venturing off the beaten track.

Ta for the link Mr B.
