Unfortunately I'm busy that week. It looks, in fact, divine.

We are thrilled to announce the first edition of Divino Tuscany in Florence, Italy from June 2 – 5, 2011, an unprecedented celebration of Tuscany’s finest winemakers that will bring together the best wine professionals from around the world. Fifty wine producers hand-picked by eminent wine critic and Tuscan wine expert James Suckling will join forces for the first time in history, in a four-day event filled with exclusive tastings, master classes and gala dinners in Florence’s most prestigious Palazzi. Highlights will include grand tastings featuring top-rated wines from both newer and older vintages poured by the winemakers and proprietors themselves who will promote, share and demystify their wines. Dinners hosted in private Palazzi by the most well-known Tuscan wine families and estates including Antinori, Frescobaldi, Mazzei, Ferragamo, Corsini, Banfi to name a few, will provide a unique setting of access to these normally private estates. Participants will have the privilege of attending tutored tastings led by James Suckling at the gorgeous Palazzo Capponi, complemented by his guest panelists and experts. Divino Tuscany will close with a relaxed country lunch featuring a traditional Tuscan pig roast hosted by Sting and Trudie Styler at their private villa just outside Florence, Il Palagio. Check our website to find out more and to become a part of this highly exclusive, invitation-only event in one of the most dramatic vinicultural regions of the world.

looks Divine for sure, 2nd to 5th June 2011. James Suckling, what a sensible chap, moving there in 1998. Has an eye for lifestyle, massive savings before it became mega trendy, and the climate - very jealous.

I think I'll wait for my invite to arrive first.
