A bit more about the wine of the week with steak - Waitrose 33% discount - probably £5.99 in store -
Mel's tip.
Chateau Tour Chapoux is owned by Comin family who have been winemakers since 1884 and who also own Château la Commanderie De Queyret and Château De Fraysse in Saint Antoine du Queyret on the plains of the Entre Deux Mers. The Knights of St John of Jerusalem founded a Commandery at Saint Antoine du Queyret in the early 13th century. These soldier monks were also fine connoisseurs of wine and it is assumed that they chose to grow vines there due to the quality of the area.
Also, these Knights wanted a glass (a flagon or two) of their own wine
You can say
Wine with Steak of the week - and why not at less than £6 quid,
I've enjoyed Château la Commanderie De Queyret, and also their white - Entre Deux Mers style 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon, 10% Muscadelle which gets more web exposure. But nobody stocks entres deux mers blanc in England - Oh well
