Further to the
Ligny Chablis thread.......By the time I had got home Tesco had delivered my two cases of Chablis, my wife had signed for it.
Wait a minute, this aint the Ligny. Checked the receipt,
'Sorry, items unavailable... replaced with higher cost item....if unhappy..return to driver..etc.'So what have I got? Twelve bottles of
2008 Andre Tremblay Chablis, Les Pierres Blanches.I know of the producer, well respected, no longer with us I believe. Have done a quick search online, nothing on Tesco, just this on Waitrose-
http://www.waitrosewine.com/230447936/Product.aspxMy bottle even has the same IWC Bronze medal on the front, as noted on the Waitrose page.
The bottle looks almost identical except it has no mention of Pascal Bouchard.
I will open a bottle either tomorrow or Thursday, have a bottle open at the mo, but would appreciate any info if known.
Sorry Duncan, I will have to look for the Ligny in store.
You jammy bugger, Waitress say it's worth 14.99 in store, they don't usually mess up big time with chablis & burgundy prices
It could be a little fuller with a tad more flint / chalk. The Les Pierres Blanches, may be a monopole - check, I don't know it. We want a TN about this, and PDQ
You've got till midnight today, to buy the Ligny at a fiver. Praps I ought to place a grocery order by midnight tonight - but knowing your luck, versus everybody elses, I get Cape classics or something dire.
You must be a good chap
