Mrs Shez & the girls were naughty/nice enough to treat me to a mixed half dozen from Majestic yesterday

Personally, I'm not fussed about dad's day as I think it's just created as another excuse to bring extra revenue to card shops and retailers but I was very grateful for it altho would have been just as happy with the card and book of drawings that I'd been greeted with earlier in the morning.

Have been told I'm welcome to change any of the bottles but from initial scope I'll probably keep em unless advised otherwise/online reviews are unfavourable.

Nice selection. I nearly posted a fathers day selection of Pauillac and Taittinger yesterday

I was on the road just after 8am yesterday - my father is very fragile, unwell and infirm now. Big day of organisation and a management.

Of your list, I have not tried that Escarpment Martinborough pinot noir ? interesting. Of the region, I bought 3 x Te Terra PN from Martinborough on the vintage '08 a while back, and now I notice Jamie Goode is crowing about it, after I bought - my bottles will see some age..

The Graham Vineyard SB 2009 - yes Sir, we'd like to hear about this wine

Waimea Nelson Gewurz 2009. For Nelson, I've been drinking Split Rock SB 2009 (Laithwaites) . This Nelson SB wine is a little more placid than the equivalent style from Marborough- to my inexperienced palate. I will write a TN eventually.


And I know the Matetic '08 SB that has evolved since I bought last year, so I'd be interested to know how it has settled down, and your point of view.

I've just made a cup of tea, after writing quite a bit of stuff, and although previewed...... Bugger this web site's cache' is too small - will resume all that I said later. Annoying for some posters like moi, I need some cache when logged on * Had to log on again because of lapsed time out, or whatever - Pooh.

Please don't worry, but mention to your web technician when you next see him. It is that the php database memory looses your posting identity after a period of inactivity....this happens when the phone rings or you go off for a bit to make tea or let somebody into the house - before submitting. One then runs a preview and the php programme asks the writer to log in again, because of recent innactivity - perhaps by design. I wonder if this time can be adjusted for some slow composers like me. One logs in again because one has no choice in the matter, and one's post is blank on the page. One then goes for the View tab and refresh, but the memory (cache) does not hold all that has been written hitherto, which **indicates that page memory (cache) is a bit on the skinny side.

Me, the one who leaves the web page up in the middle of a sentence

has happened to me once or twice but sure I just clicked the back button on my browser and the text was still there so I just copy it and then paste it once I've logged on again

After a longer period the back button finds a 3 quarters empty thread, or a broken thread, and I'm using a machine that could hold half of Brittanica in it's cache if without pictures I wonder if it's related to this wobbly Virgin broadband - it just isn't a proper and constant bit stream.
