I dutyfully took the 4 x '06 St' Emilion grand cru Puy Mouton back to the big store in Reading , and 4 x Nanny Goat CO '06.

My youngest was driving back to London after breaky, so I hitched a lift to the Town Hall close by the store, c/w a green canvas M&S bag clanking to the gunwall.

I kept one of the pee wee sheep to see if anything does actually happen later. You have to go to the food Cuss service to return Web wine bought, and the guy at the till, was quite embarrassed when I said the wine was not properly representative of the style in St Em, and fairly dull & lack lustre for the price. Non plussed, but attentive expression, when I tried to explain "mute nose, over dry fruit, zero lift and flat, " You can never say..... Bloody Dull.

Reporting a dodgy wine - une impossibilite'. So dont waste your breath.

He had a lot of trouble with the web bar code on the Nanny G. The till kept giving me too much of a refund and I explained and showed him the web receipts bought on 25% disco.

In the end he said he was giving me the extra dosh on my card regardless,
so I earnt an extra 13 quid for my trouble, and he was happy.

Walked back in the sun and over the river & along the bank for a bit, working out a new and little parcel for just under a ton.

I wonder if there is any of that '05 Ma Boozay left at TL ?

Phone round bin end - Chateau Marbuzet cru grand B. except'l St. Estephe 2005. Jancis liked it.

Like GK, I'm giving myself some serious back excercise clearing a winter crop of weeds that may flower and seed - so pulling by hand. I got 20 years on 'im. Hot bath later.

Driving Awareness Course in Dorset tomorrow - somebody been taking stills of my backside, and then looking at my compulsory badge. Duh !
Will take Tom Tom for unknown routes in future, if I remember ! Although the "voice over" is designed to drive a sane person nuts.

Nice supper last night for you Mel. We drove back from DW anni quite late after washing-up etc.
