I suppose I do remember, in the back of the back of my brain, in a corner somewhere, knowing that if you go into a supermarket and they're out of stock of something on offer, you can arrange to have it for that price, later.
Just been into Tesco to stock up on Marques de la Concordia Rioja Reserva, which is a delicious and v interesting wine, because in my branch (but not all) it's reduced from £9.99 to £4.99. I think it's probably a £7.99 wine, but still a good buy. They only had 2 bottles, which was nowhere near enough.
The customer services woman got me to fill out a Price Promise slip - actually, she did the filling - which means that I can go into Tesco at any time and get that wine for that price.
The offer finishes on 23rd - Tuesday. A very helpful person in the queue said that if I manage to come back before the 23rd and get as much as I need, from the shelves, I should keep the PP slip, because it's valid for a long time.
I like the way she's thinking!
