A small, family run estate with 26 hectares of vines. The vineyards are in the region of Carnuntum, south east of Vienna and are cooled by the chill winds of the nearby River Daub allowing the intense aromas and acidity of the grapes to be preserved. £5.50 in Austria > £12 here. Nice enough and typical GV. Bit like a Pinot Gris on steroids. Yeah, I like it - but would not pay full whack. |
