Scores highly with the professional critics (90-93pts apparently)
Jury is out a little on this wine however. It was very correct for a Chianti (cherry fruit, lean acidity) but didn't get the pulse racing (particularly having read the pro scores). PnP and required some air to begin with, but improved with time. No notable improvement on day 2 however.

Last time I saw this it was reduced to £13.50, so with 25% off comes in at ~£10 which is a fair price for a Classico Riserva from a producer of some prestige (Barone Ricasoli is the oldest winery in Italy and according to Family Business, a leading American magazine that lists world classification of family businesses, Barone Ricasoli is the fourth oldest company in the world still in the same place from the beginning and the second in the wine industry.)
