Not bad at all, jolly nice considering the price. But not Shez's '09 St. Estephe find - unfortunately.

A modern claret, fruit is a rustic dark damson with a drop of camomile spice, an extracted new world style pressing, quite dark, the nose is a little bit spirity at first, even though only 12.5% alc ? A bit one dimensional at 1st, because the extra extraction masks any gravelly feel on the palate; must be a property close to the city of Bordeaux, good acidity though, and more cut to the palate on day 2.

Cab, Cab Franc & Merlot, the merlot tastes dominant on day 2, I'd appreciate more franc in this, and then perhaps a star. Oak treatment is light, may be it will show its personality on day 3. Not bad at all, and for a 2011 at this price point, competes very favourably against decent / traditional bargain Chilean.

Very :qofgoodvalue:

Day 3 and this Graves fades, so that is indicative that this wine is a short / shortish medium keeper. Nose rather benign on Day 3.

the wine is best served when sploshed in a carafe, and drunk at one sitting, or vacu-vinned for day 2 on a cool stone floor.

Good value.
