Usually £10, currently reduced to £7.50, -25% for x6 bottles, £5.62 per bottle.

I got six yesterday, will be heading back for a dozen more tomorrow. Surprisingly full with a sweet touch but great balance and freshness in the finish. I'm not generally big on fizz but this is excellent, a view shared by others who tried it.

Is there a better sparkler in the UK for under £6?

Did you give the Canti Prosecco a try too?
That's reduced to £6.75 + 25% off = £5.06
Bought a Demi of these with some friends for the girls to drink on a camping trip last week. Went down well

Would be interested to see how it compares to the sainsburys TtD prosecco

I didnt see the Canti Shez, truth is i didnt go in for wine and spotted the offer when heading for the till, knew the girls wanted a fizz and grabbed a case, glad I did.

Whilst Im here, for fans of ARA Pathway wines- Morrisons are selling the SB & PN x3 for £12, £4 a bottle. Ive tried both, I liked the SB, the PN was acceptable but nothing to shout about, Burgundy in style but a touch thin. Still a good price for two well made wines, NZ bottled.

If you're going back for the TtD prosecco it's worth giving the Canti a go for a fiver to see what you think

The ara pathway looks like it's going for £6 a single bottle which is good value to start with but if it's £4 then that's just stupidly cheap and well worth a trip instore

Indeed, £4 for decent everyday gluggers, whats not to like?

GK, I'm sorry I missed your recommendation, by the time I got back from Dorset, Sainsbury was closed - 16:00 on a Sunday.

GK & Shezza, thanks for the Ara Pathway MSB tip, I'm not enjoying the Sainsburys Brent Maris River Block TtD MSB, poor on day 2 and heavy acidity and nout else on Day 3. Horrid, like sucking pale lemons on day 3, not much dimension, no tropical fruits.

I may take The Ned for the ladies and summer quaffing in the garden, this on a Waitrose 25% discounted offer for 6. I'd like to find a cheap SB glugger, that was acceptable the next day ! All the cheapos ( That I've tried recently ) deteriorate, go downhill rapidly after 24 hours.

Lets kick MSB into touch for the mo, I'm just not getting pleasure & satisfaction out of the cheap ones . . . . . dunno ? Well I do, there appears to be a revised additive to give texture, a certain mid palate sweetness and glugging ease when (summer) chilled, when that wears off . . . . . . wine fully open etcetera - that thing is unmasked !

I'm drinking a lovely Beronia '07 Reserva just now. Cos I'm wanting to be spoilt midweek for a change ! So there :)

No MSB in my Morrisons so I went for 6 of the PN. Thanks for the heads up GK

I opened a bottle of the PN last night, jury is still out mostly because I'm just getting over a cold and my palate is shot but I did pick up on some interesting characteristics, one being a very, very slight spritz in the finish. There's a sour cherry edge to this, but not unpleasant. I will revisit this evening.

Crazy price really, £4 for single estate NZ bottled Pinot. Perhaps Morrisons bought too much and want to shift it quick.

Which vintage did you try?
I got 1x 2008 (12.5% alc), 3x 2010 (13%) & 2x 2011 (13.5%)
I'd expect there to be some difference in the wines both because of age and alc content

The PN was 2011, second night wasn't much better, I'm still not convinced by this and won't be going back for more. I'm drinking the 2012 SB as I type, very good, light and sharp, just how I like NZSB, good fruit, a steal at £4, I will go back for a dozen tomorrow.

Shame to hear that about the PN. Hopefully the earlier vintages may show a bit better
Sadly no MSB in my most local store but they do have the Montes late harvest Gewertz going for £4.98. I picked one up to try do hoping I've found a bargain sticky to compete with the Tesco dessert semillon for QPR
