That is pretty much what Cupbearer said about the so called special reserve PN sparkling at £13.99 a pop on the Waitrose site. She is pretty reliable, especially for chablis, burgundies and french classics

This has an unusually deep blush, making it almost rose. Otherwise it's uninteresting. Smells of jammy dodgers, with acceptable mousse and acidity.


I did have a bottle in stock, but got rid of it for somebodies Summer afternoon party, I saved myself the bother. If it's fizzy and from NZ, spent 30 minutes in the freezer and covered in condensation, it will attact the masses. A 100 numpties on the MW reviews give 4-5 stars . . . . .

Lindauer, was once satisfactory ?
