Bought as a bin end from co-op earlier this year so wasn't expecting too much but was really impressed
Deep concentration of fruit with smokiness from the oak and signs of secondary farmyard notes showing through
This is definitely my kind of Pinot only wish I had more than a couple of bottles left
Drink or hold ~5yrs

Hi Shez,

Sounds good to me. For a 2007, that domaine is making a decent burgundy, Morey-saint-Denis is usually a little deeper and more concentrated, sometimes firmer than some, others say Morey it is a tad four square, as they say about Pommard. However, development is happening......... the brett is under control.

Good result, imagine what the '05 would have been like ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

enjoy

Yeah, My kind of Pinot as well :)

Revisiting this wine, one of my final 3 bottles
Belies it’s 12 years. Deep and meaty with notes of bacon fat and even a bit of beef stock? Nice secondary development, showing a bit of barnyard along with red berry fruit
Medium tannin that gives a bit of grip and fresh acidity.
Still time in this but would imagine at peak performance right now

Rather 'spensive now. Do you recal what you paid for them ?

Picked up a couple for £14 and another 9 along the way for just £7
Retailed back at about £30 in 2013 when I got them I think.

Sadly Co-op have hardly any fine wine line up now and no opportunities for such cracking bin ends
