Currently £7.99 (from £12.99) + 15% off if you buy 3 or more bottles

Despite its youth this is very approachable now.
Nice rich fruit notes, with flavour profiles combining that of Aussie Shiraz blackberry/bramble (without the mocha) and roasted strawberry of a Chilean Pinot with a gentle hint of vanilla following on
Tannins are fairly soft and a nice level of acidity gives it a refreshing edge making it very drinkable on its own as well as with the Tesco Finest shepherds pie this accompanied (which has to be one of, if not THE best shepherds pie I've had)
Drink now and over next 2yrs

Thanks for the TN, nicely explained flavour profiles.
What a coincidence, I was looking at a chilean Bonarda, or was it Argentina, in Laithwaites bin end reds the other day, a fancy bottle shape.
Thinking, it's been a long time since, and I should broaden my outlook for those I can pick as I fancy. I think the BE was less money, but regretably TL's delivery costs present a hindrance to impromtu ordering and taste bud speculation.

A good Shepherds Pie is a great choice with this.

I had the Lancashire Hotpot from that range and was not impressed. Quite pricey, the meat was chewy and it was heavily over-herbed over-spiced. More of an Istanbul Hotpot methinks.
Will try the Shepherd's though.

PS Also had leeks in it.

Dunc, this is a nice easy quaffer and at £7.99 + 15% off is fairly good value for £6.80
I likened some it's flavour profile to that of Tim Adams The Fergus

Ba, no unnecessary lumps and rogue veg in the shepherd's pie
A very nice hit of rosemary in with the lamb mince and a smooth buttery mash with some crispy topping
Currently 3 for 2 apparently
