Strong elder on the nose bodes quite well. First few sips have elder and capsicum. But then, the sugar takes over and the wine becomes like an alcoholic elderflower fruit cordial. Quite rich too.

I can see why Oyster Bay is the more popular wine now amongst folk who want MSB that tastes like sherbet dip. It's lighter and easier to drink.

Unbelievably, this is a silver medal winner.
