A fine Sancerre vintage. You've done your homework G, So I mini-blog summarise this for other folks: The season resulted in a cooler start, slower and longer growing and later picking when it was windy, dry and sunny. The professionals and the wealthy are enjoying the additional complexity found in the cuvees from the more expensive climats. The good proprietors made the right decisions. They, the profs and the growers, are now comparing these 2010's to the '02 vintage. To get near what you want, you have to fork out. G, I sincerely hope these "hit the spot" for you, and why not. This vintage produces the style that you particularly like. Good luck with these - here's hoping for you.. |
