Petrol & rubber, with lemon and lime notes. Quite dry, I would have preferred this a little sweeter but very good none the less Held over 5 days in the fridge and still drinking well on day 5 so has a lot of longevity |

I bought a case of the 2010 recently, I tried one bottle and found it very full on, dryer than I'd hoped for (like you) and still very young and aggressive in texture. I will try a bottle each year for the next five and see how it develops. |

I have conceded defeat on Aussie riesling. It's fascinating at first. Lime and petrol is odd but rather nice. Problem is i've never had one that was noticeably better than all the others.. Even Tim Adams 06 and 07 went nowhere after five years. They're all consistantly ok but never stunning. Like Brancott Estate MSB. Tesco Finest Great Southern 2003 drunk in 2007 was the best . Strawberry and petrol Not had Petaluma. |

I had another bottle of the '10 at the weekend (BYO curry house). There's a marked improvement, more rounded and softer but still full flavoured with an edge of youth, quite brilliant in fact, its beginning to find its feet, very glad I have plenty left. |

Goose, You are shopping in the wrong Country for Riesling. Have a go at Germany Mosel would be my advice, just spent a lovely 8 days travelling up and down tasting lots. |

Apparently these are well worth holding on to for a good 10-20yrs to really see them develop I've not tried aged Riesling before but would be interested to see what it's like Try and keep a hold of a few of them for long term if you can GK |

Have a go at Germany Mosel would be my advice, I will. A new grape and region might rekindle my love affair with wine. |
