Mass produced and heavily criticised as a junk wine but this is a faultless sb.

Extremely light bodied but has all the flavours of a good Marlborough

Dry, pale, acidic but not tart ( unlike many 2007 Loire sb's ) a grapefruity nose with grapefruit, cat's pee and capsicum flavours.

2007 was such a bad vintage in the Loire that Chenet have abandoned their reserve Touraine sb and replaced it with a reserve Cotes De Gascoigne.

I have yet to find it....but it can't be any better than this.

It needs to be served very well chilled, cold even, to be at it's most Marlborough like.

Please put up a tasting note when you've tried it. Even if it's " Yuk...go back to drinking Carling Black Label you witless plonker, this is awful."

I wouldn'k ask if it was Sancerre as there is too much bottle variation but this is mass produced so every bottle should taste the same.

I have unearthed a bottle of the reserve so will put up a tasting note.
