Produced from the gamay grape at a wonderful co-operative in Saint Veran ( Prisse)

Dry(ish) oily strawberry.

Lovely wine.

I tried this again after trying the Bourgogne rose and there is a huge difference in class.

This is still a decent rose but it was nowhere near as dry as the Bourgogne.

The oily texture which adds richness also makes the wine difficult to drink without food.

The Campo Viejo Tempranillo Rose form Asda and Thresher is very similar and even harder to drink without food.

if you ever come across a spanish rose that's oaked, snap it up, and then let me know where you got it. it gives a v interesting dimension to the wine and makes it less barbie like. i've had a couple, but they were pretty expensive - ie £7-£8. which i'm not used to spending on rose.
