I seem to have lost my sense of smell, and, even more serious, the ability to taste wine.

My left sinus seems a little blocked but nothing major but even when I open a bottle of Montana's pungent blackcurrent leaf and gooseberry scented basic sauvignon blanc I cannot smell a thing.

The wines taste funny too. I had to let the Montana warm up to red wine temperature just to make it palatable.

And now I log in to Quaffers offers and I can't see other people's tasting notes.

Am I going blind as well ?

I have no idea what the KF Chenin Blanc tastes like...probably wet dog or something. In my experiance it's usually best to avoid Chenin Blanc.

I'll be going deaf next

Don't worry about your sight, goosegoggs. We shifted the site over to the new format over the weekend and for some obscure reason the Chenin tasting note got lost in the move.

Please let me know if you find anything else worrying. Very sorry about the nose/taste thing. A very serious disability indeed. Do you think if it happened to me I could claim Disability Living Allowance?

Hope, for the Forum's sake that it clears up soon.

Ha Ha !

Probably !

All those petrol fumes have no doubt done irrepairable damage.

People have been putting bowls of potpourri under my nose and spraying perfume around the house to see if I can smell anything...but I can't smell a thing.

Disaster !!!

I might as well drink Blossom Hill
