I assume you've all been drinking more than I have, as this makes little sense.

I had the Jadot and was impressed by the intensity of flavour. Mel described it as lime marmalde on toast. I then had the Hardy's Reserve Chardonnay ( £10.99 down to £5.99 ) it tasted the same.

That made me less impressed with the Jadot as Jadot has a reputation for high quality but more impressed with the Hardy's as they have a reputation for dross.

A bit like say in the FA Cup this happened... Man Utd 1 Cleethorpes 2nd 11 1. You'd mock Man Utd but be impressed by the 2nd 11 of Cleethorpes even though both teams scored the same number of goals.

Make sense ?

As for Pfalz. Pay no attention. I know that Pfalz has a reputation for producing some of the world's finest rieslings but I just love the Aussie style over Germany.

I meant Mosel but The Naked Riesling is a Pfalz wine and I was hoping nobody would notice.

Can I plead the fifth

Goose, I didn't.

You seen the film, Being There, where Peter Sellers stars as the character Chance Gardener. That's how much I know about the Mosel - for heavens sake - don't go rushing to the reference book.

I may stumble around the Mosel, making profound statements...........

Pfalz link if you know one - cheers
