One for Duncan I reckon.

£5.99 on promo at present but I believe this price is the market value as its never a £9.99 wine.

Produced by Antoine Ogier, Ramparts CdR Villages 2007.

14.5% Vol, beautiful nose, really develops on the palate and changes mid course where the tannins dig back in, good finish but pretty hot though.

A real monster of a red if you can handle the 14.5 heat !!
Doesnt state the blend % but is made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre.

Enjoyable for the money.

One for me to Assess. I'm not steeped in CdR ya know !

CdR is great at preventing blokes like me, from destroying their Fireside claret stocks at this time of year.

Hmmnn... Ramparts 2007 Huh. The marketing folks have avoided Moat 2007, for fear of a UK backlash ! Which ramparts then, the marawding north Africans in 1432, Hannibal no, he went west. Perhaps the Ottamans !
Sounds good though - historical note. Would like to know the mix - too much upfront crunchy grenache can get to you in the end, and you die

tannins dig back in, as in the trenches Eh ! So, some good oak in there this time ? Must have oak if I'm - I'm - I'm going to build lego models out of CdR boxes.

Yes, thanks for that Rich, another swift offering to dangle perilously over my Christmas wine budget.

Will drop by a Morris, if I'm passing - it's quite a way from here.
