Macon Villages, especially at this price, is usually dry, appley and slightly bitter and rarely worth the money.

But this is made in St Veran by the Prisse co-op who make the fabulous Saint Veran Les Monts for M&S.

Unscrew the screwcap and you get the usual apple baked apple smell but the wine is very creamy and buttery and has a yeasty richness.

Excellant unoaked Burgundy.

If you open it and drink a glass straight away you'll get a little apple flavour but if you leave for an hour the apple fades and the wine gets better and better

Try it...you'll love it.
