Sainsbury have taken 25% off single bottles of all their fine wines. This has a lovely nettley flavour. Like white Sancerre with a hint of dried strawberry.

Stunning !

Cheers Goose

Sounds fab - Thanks for letting us know. Alphonse Mellot has quite a reasonable reputation in the Loire. This proves he can make good stuff. £10 quid is OK by me for one of these. Good value as well ?

What is the blend, sounds like an SB with a PN blush ? or Skinned Cab Franc with SB ? Surely, if nettles are present.

A comment on the 2005.

Standard price is £13.49 so probably not value at that price

I could be wrong Dunc but I think Sancerre rose has to be 100% pinot. The nose is even better than the taste. This is Mellot's only unoaked wine.
