I bought this in Tesco a while back, the 40% discount was an offer you see from time to time. Recently when in a big store I saw more on the shelf.

The Pauillac was good for £7.19 a bottle. Tasted like simple petite chateau Pauillac, so absolutely no complaints from me.

Contrary to recent big T experience.... this had good body, ripe-ish perfumed dark fruits and cedar plus spice, not dried out at all :) . Lasted quite well, after 48 hours from being opened. 2004 is softer and early maturing, better in Pauillac than other left bank communes. Good with roast meats and hard cheeses, or as a port substitute.

If you see it kicking around at the discounted price, cos big T are pulling out of more expensive stuff..... You can buy with confidence. If still £12 quid, wait and see for a while. Worth £9.00 or so, in most claret drinker's books.
