Another Yvon Mau offering, although difficult to know at first, because her name is almost hidden, as the typing of Yvon Mau on the label is in 5 point script.

Generic Lalande de Pomerol 2006. *Cork is still totally unstained, the wine has been in tank since 2007, bottled last month perhaps ? Drying out quite fast, not satisfying as LdP, but acceptable with strong cheese or meat stew. It does taste of right bank, BUT, nobody could be bothered to bottle it after release, so it is a mish mash assembly of stuff from the region, and is not that bright.

The description on the back of the label is not relative to L de P, but not inaccurate for Bordeaux superior. I have a feeling that this stuff would have been better and fresher, perhaps more interesting, 15 months ago.

Not recommended at £8 quid, the original quoted retail of £15.19 is absurd. *Good quality cork though.
