On offer at £4.99

Beautiful intense blackcurrant smell upon opening totally fades away to nothing after the slightest chilling.

Tastes like water that's had a dash of blackcurrant added.

Still, it's better than any other sauvignon at the £4.99 offer price.

Drink within 3 months

Re- The Co-op

A friend bought a Macon Lugny to swig on the boat for £5.99, a 2006 which is an easy year for chardonnay in Macon.

I thought the wine was half decent for the price. Fairly simple but no off flavours, and light fruit which tasted of Macon. Very little oak, which will suit many on a warm evening outside

So, you could do a lot worse, than to spend a mere £5.99 for a French white southern burgundy from the Co-op.
