I applaud this innovative introduction of sample size (1/3rd) 25cl size. There are a choice of about 15 wines, red and white mostly costing £2.00 each. However, they give you a voucher for each bottle purchased. Which, should you decide to, enables you to buy the full 75cl bottle size of that particular wine (£6), BUT at a £2 discount, when the sample bottle voucher is presented.

However, having bought the medoc ex spc...this is not a wine for me, thin and insipid, not much flavour or depth. However, the 75cl bottles are of the 2005 vintage, which being well spoken of, may prove better. Will look to see how the 2 other sample bottles are. Reserva Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignion 2006 and Primitivo 2005 Extra Special. Do let us know of any of the other samples bought from this Asda range.

I think this is a really good idea for weaning the masses off the boring brands. But the problem is that Asda's range is so pitiful, I fear it may not work out for them.
