Sadly, I've just learnt that Faiveley have been plundering with big amounts of dosh: Faiveley provide some very decent burgundies at all price levels above £18 a bottle, but I feel sure that future prices of this wine will reflect their acquisition financing, rather than absolute quality.

Situated in the heart of the village since 1815, Billaud-Simon is one of the few original domains in the appellation.
The Domaine is spread over 20 hectares in the best terroirs, amongst them, four grand crus: Les Clos, Les Preuses, Vaudesir and Les Blanchots, and four premiers crus: Montée de Tonnerre, Mont-de-Milieu, Fourchaume and Vaillons.

Sir, you acquired quite a few gold nuggets there. The 2010 vintage would be the next one to hunt down, a brilliant TN from Burghound, and quite a few comments about longevity and potential for the '08 from Chablis profs/lovers that I trust.
