Blind River '12 bought for £9.15 with the Majestic £5 voucher which expired today.

The bottle that I openned today - others may be different.

Intense green Awaterre Valley, unexpurgated & concentrated passion fruit, nettles, raw, mean with attitude, high acidity, overtly dry, grapefruit finish, puckering, but not pithy.

My wife quite liked a sip of this wine. Very new and biting on the palate, tiring, rather unbalanced to my mind
Tom Cannavan liked the softer 2010 as wine of the week, the bloke from the Guardian loves the 2011 looking at the date ! A few folks could love this too ?

They say,10% of the juice was transferred to aged French Oak barriques for barrel fermentation. The oak has been so washed-out by the acidity of previous vintages, that it is undetectable on the palate at serving temperature. Just as well, I don't think vanilla and very green passion fruit make happy bedfellows

If you want cats pee on your chinese carpet, this is for you. Perhaps that's a bit harsh - Beware though.
