Mendoza. £9~£11.

Perfumed with a whiff of vanilla oak, full and glossy in the mouth, richly flavoured with gentle acidity and a fleshy, tannic finish. Still young and truly delicious, possibly the best red I've had for several years.

I polished off the last glass whist eating a Chicken Phall during the Euro final, I could still taste the fruit through the fire, amazing really.

I should have followed you, GK. Was asking .....and...looking at that in the Tesco (short term dangling carots)

I knew it could be pretty good. Hmnnn, I had other boxes on the slate at Maj, so decided I'd be sensible for once !

Nothing ventured .....

That wine could suit a lot of palates, and keeps them off the fancy £'ss stuff. Don't say your acquision price -
