Left to breathe for a couple of hours.
Nice notes of plum and cherry along with cedar with soft tannin.
Finish was a little short
I dont think it has too much life left in the tank but should see through 2012

The current Chateau Griviere 2002 offer keeps catching my eye for a cheap house claret
Apparently merlot dominant Medoc - bit out of the ordinary no? No not especially....even stevens on the palate for Griviere anyhow - yeah ?

Good opinion Shez - starts the year off well with a half decent house claret at hand.

Shez - You did - excellent news. I cleared my store out of it. I must find some more. The '01 was a better keeper, a tad more elegant, bit firmer, but for the dosh, the '02 to the end of '12 is fine for me alright.

Now, how do we get this one out of the wilderness ? .....

The chateau Moulin a Vent Moulis 2001 can be found at Goose's store in Cardiff Bay, there are just two stores in the country that have some left. I can't get it moved to Reading central, that sorta special uplift is out of bounds now ! Bugger

Yeah, I was looking at that a few weeks ago and thinking that it looks cracking value. I have a couple of the 2001. Would have picked up some myself, but am abstaining from purchases until I make some headway into my stocks.
