Last night I had to take back the other bottle of Ara Composite 2008 and a bottle of Lindauer Brut (as disco wasn't applied when purchased the 1 bottle on Friday so swaped it for the BdB special reserve which was 7.99 for 1 bottle)

while there I picked up 6 Vavasour as they had just got them in yesterday.

If good I'll buy another 12 through the Majestic link here so Mel gets a little comish

I opened another of these tonight and it has blossomed.

Unfortunately I am referring to the Lemon grass. The pungency has faded considerably also. I shall be consuming the remaining bottles fairly soon and I shall not be buying any more.

Firefinch '10 is far far better than this IMO.

With no Goldwater or Vav available at Maj right now I bought six of these last week
Mrs Shez opened a bottle while I was on a stag do last weekend which has sat in the fridge all week
I've had little samples throughout the week but finished it tonight
Each tasting pointed at that this isn't best straight from the fridge
Straight from the fridge some of the tropical flavours are subdued and it seems tarter but give it a couple of minutes to increase a couple of degrees and you have a decent expression of fruit even after being open a week!

For sub 6 quid I think it ain't half bad

Yeah, Bah!!! Vav went ages ago so grabbed more Goldwater. Didn't know that was OOS as well

Actually, I should have reposted after my last post. That was day one and it did improve over the next couple of days and I agree, Shez that it is better warmer.

I still don't think I'll buy any more of these though, my stocks of MSB are quite healthy unlike me. I have a bit of a chest infection and am losing my voice.

When it improves I am going to revisit Vav '09. Found a few at the back of the cooler.
