Small percentage oaked. Not as rich as you'd expect for a part oak fernented wine. Pure passion fruit taste...no blackcurrant which I often confuse with passion fruit on MSB. This is so passion fruity that even I can spot it.

On introductory offer at sub £7.

Just a hint of richness stops it from being lovely.

Do you know? Throughout all these posts, I've just registered that I have never tried passion fruit. Will put that right interfrastically.

Day two.

Like so many of these well made but overly rich MSB's it's mellow and lovely on day two.

Like a very restrained Saint Clair basic.

Problem is...i'm a day one man.

I'm sooooooooo Bacchus.

Shall have a look tomorrow. Maj is en route to Sains, so if the disco music is off I shall get 6 there as well, including the Black Cottage MSB.

My brother in law grew a passion fruit vine / tree on a south facing back wall in Chiswick, West London. Since global warming and London heat in the Winter, you can grow this sort of thing.

BA.....Get a fresh passion fruit, cut it in half, and get your nose in there and snort.
The fruit, raw like that is quite strong and tart, quite acidic, with a tart cut on the palate. They must be fresh.

You are supposed to have experience this hit, in greater or somewhat lesser amounts in most good quality MSB.
The seeds if you chew them are slightly bitter.

I'm supping the affordable and lovely VAV '09 tonight - so I'm quite jolly as well. At the price - A touch of nearly free oak.

** Looks as if I may like Mount Riley as an alternative house MSB when it has put on some weight - ?
