This is a 4 star CDR vintage from Chapoutier, perhaps 3.9, because the ALC level is too high for quaffing, but the taste is excellent straight off the blocks as an apperatif ! Further, somehow MC hides that 14.5% on the palate

Grenache and Syrah mix, no Carrignan in there, therefore the wine is brighter, and clearing already (not opaque), web site is wrong, tastes like 65% Gren & 35 Syrah.

This is more elegant than the Bila Haut '09 but not more satisfying. The one star TNs on the Maj site are nonsence.

I agree that the '09 is not as unctious as the '07s were, but still very friendly, and at the price, AND, if you are a Rhone rouge drinker, you will not be disappointed.

The guy who compares, or somehow relates this wine to M.C Hermitage Monier De La Sizeranne at £31 trade ex VAT per bottle is slightly off his head.

Wait a bit longer for a special clearance if £8.49 is a tad too much for your budget. Nice CDR actually, blossoms with further airing during the course of an evening.
