not sure about in store (guessing it'll still be 25% off) but I just bought 6 of the Finest Yarra PN online for £7.73 today - a whopping 43% off !

I have ordered a case of this online as the price is only £7.73, I know it will most likely be 2010, but it is meant to have been a good vintage so will stick them away for a few years.

I have followed Shezza's advice (thanks!) and grabbed another 2007 bottle at 25% discount. My Tesco does not stock the Stockmans Station. I'll post a note when I open the TF.

It's pretty decent for that price bracket
It's a shame you missed the online offer (it's now all sold out on tesco wine) as it was going for £7.73 (~46% off)
Online was 2010 vintage tho which I opened last night. quick sample seems good - will try and take a note tonight

He he! I knew you wouldn't be able to resist.

I had a Majestic Peaks CO PN 2009 last night. Plenty of vanilla, lightly fruity and strikingly acidic. It was not how I remembered it from the Tasting Table at Majestic. Will try some more tonight.

heheh.

It was actually Mrs Shez who asked for PN. I still had Fermoy Semillon to finish
She suggested opening a cono sur reserve PN (or in her words "what about that one we had on Saturday?")

Thought I'd keep the cono sur for the masses at BBQs so decided to try one of the new bottles. So I had a sip of her glass but I've yet to have a proper glass myself

This post is for Majestic Peaks, NZ pn - not Gulf Station, Yarra valley, Oz

Three days on the tasting table adds complexity - their vacu-rubber stoppers are worn out

This wine has a thumbs-up / thumbs down review profile. It is cheap enough. Knowing your appreciation of the french reds that we have particularly enjoyed - please say how it is after a 24 hour aclimatisation to the cold light of day in your own lair.

TBH - My scouts at Maj said ........ Now I'll leave that to you. At least it's not Tunes throat pastiles, so that's a 6 out of ten.

I've not tasted this wine

Opened the last '08 Gulf Station last night. I'm clearing space on the handy rack.

For the 2008, Drink at one sitting and keep re-sealing the bottle. The flavour is half ok for burgundy folks until it fully opens.

Well chambre'd, and sadly, the wine becomes **too sweet and a bit sickly, and the** "Tunes" mixture reverts to type.

Subjective stuff - The wine got a better rating on the '08 because other folks wanted this **
