No mention of grenache on the website. Just syrah and cab/sau. So I bought.

Taste is pure grenache.

Hot white pepper.

This is absolute fuffing garbage. It goes back with the Menetou Salon.

Not faulty just junk wine being passed off as fine wine.

I have been voted fuffing grumpy bollock face of the year by all at Gogs Towers.

I expect far better from Majestic. Wines not to our taste is par for the course for all of us but a wine specialist like this should never sell poorly made wines.

The Sancerre was fine but just too flinty for me. Some people love flint and the flintier the better so I have no problem with this and the Menetou Salon was faulty. Too much sulphur is a common problem with screwcapped wines and just bad luck if you get one. Although, obviously, you should get a refund.

The other three wines were thin, acidic and badly made tat. The Provence was as bad as a supermarket £3.99 Vin du Pays grenache rose.

Wines like this make me want to stick to PB's and Stella Artois.

And elderflower champagne...which no doubt will be thin acidic badly made tat.

But it''ll be my thin acidic badly made tat and I shall love it and not sell it to people who expect Krug 64.

Yeah, it's a pig when you try several new ones on the trot and find more disappointment than pleasure. It's even worse if you've had to buy 2 the same to get the price.

A crap experience there Mr G. get them back to Majestic and place an order with Oddies !

I'd probably quite like that flinty number, the Sancere is an '09, so it could integrate with more time...... before going over to silage. Most folks complain when they can't find the chalk and flint

Expectation is a bugger, a couple of minor niggles can become a wind-up and then a castastrophe.
