Mel, if you have a tasting note please post it to back me up or they'll only complain that i'm sending them on a naughty goose chase.

Bone dry, slightly golden but the acidity is perfect no hint of the flabbyness that renders many a Chablis tasteless here. Intense smell that could only be Chablis. Very buttery and intense flavour with a lingering aftertaste that fluctuates between digestive biscuits, apples and flint.

At it's most biscuity when warm and at it's flintyest when cold.

This is textbook Chablis and very lovely.

If only supermarket Sancerre/Pouilly Fume was this good.

Is this a "normal" CoOp ? Many Brocard Chabs abound including - would you believe? - a Sainte Claire...honest guv.

I only have the standard Co-op Chablis 2007, which was £8.99 in May last year. The nose was a bit tropical and the taste was pretty intense, bordering on sharp. Long flavour and quite savoury. Tasted against 8 other Chablis (what's the plural of Chablis?) It came joint 2nd for me.
