Some dozey bint of a female wine writer rated the La Grille at Majestic by Paul Buisse at £5.99 as being Sancerre like.

Has anyone tried it.

There are 3 of these beasties, all with VERY similar labels. Two are from M.Buisse being the Vouvray and Tourains SB. The third is an Anjou CB which I like lots. The Vouvray is a bit sweet for me. As for the Vav, it may be on the warm side for those west of the Mississ, sorry Bristol Channel.

Sainsbury have a barrel fermented CB by La Grille. It's not Buisse though. I have a sb loving friend who rates a SA'n oaked chenin by Brewer Raats (?) as his favourite wine of all time and he generally hates both chenin and oak.

I think he used to get it from an Oddbins store in Southampton.

Some bottle age has moved it up the integrated sophistication ladder as well. I agree with BC. For me 'a point' now, but holding in my store very well, and in Shez's warmer conditions by the sound of it. For me, Serve a tad cooler than you would a quality sancerre.

Hurry though, Maj running lough.
