Apologies for putting up tasting notes for wines that may not be sold here but we've just got back from Orlando and the local supermarkets sold nothing but American wine.

These were the best of them and the sauv was dreadful....they oak sauvignon blanc in America.

It shouldn't be allowed...I mean good grief !

The gewurz was ok and very Alsace like but needed food to bring out the flavour.

The restaurants were not much better although the steaks were wonderful

In fact we gave up wine after the first week and just drank Budweiser

Aah, now, I disagree on this one. I love oaked Sauvignon. Obviously it's a completely different wine, but I really love it. Have been at Centre Parcs with the kids all day and can hardly move. Have speed drunk 3 pints of water, due to exhaustion and have a bottle of Maven NZ SB in the fridge - just slightly too cold - from Thresher during their 40% off period. I can almost feel it slipping down my throat now...
