Silver medal winner at the IWC.

Grapefruit and stony minerals. Very good of it's type. MrsD will like this, Dunc.

Made in the South of France.

This caused handbags international when it first appeared. The NZ lot whinged over one of their own using this name in France. Especially when les grenouilles are so particular about their names. Down to a fiver at Sains.

Yep, Ive had earlier vintages of this and remember it being quite nice for the price. The Pinot Noir is pretty good too.

Timmy's Today.

SYDNEY. A french winemaker's attempt to sell the label "Kiwi Cuvée" in Australia has been blocked by a tribunal. The NZ Winegrower's Org argued that this Lachetau label would mislead customers...etc

GK, wasn't impressed with the PN:

Perfumed. Some cherry. High acid and quite raw-tasting. Not very balanced or beautiful. Might be improved by food.

Fair enough, I cant remember the vintage but it was a couple of years ago when I tasted it, I could have worded that statement better.

Mrs D likes JE'07 a lot ....I'm not giving her a go with Clifford Bay yet. I'm eeking that Sains clearance out.

Mel was right - in the week, Mrs D takes Plymouth with gallons of tonic or Absolut with 90% Waitrose cranbury juice. Otherwise no alc. drinks at all

On to the '09 now. Yet again excellent VFM and consistency. Not quite special, but 100% consistent and controversial. On offer this is a don't miss. Really is a great swigger.

I'm reading all posts and am catching up slowly.

I've been without internet access for months and still cannot access old email accounts so apologies if I haven't replied to any mails. I'll put up a new address before logging off.

Life also took over.

In a good way.

No, we have enough of those.

They even come in useful sometimes.

But that's no reason to have more
