Duncan, by adoption do you mean the kitten? She is the lightest cream/beige/grey and her mum is beautiful, with chartreuse eyes, which will match the new dining room walls beautifully.

Yes, your addition to the family.

She sounds very pretty, presumably the cream is the underlying coat, because with this breed, I did notice that the grey/taupe coat is slightly longer when they are kittens. Eventually, that creamy fluff under is gone.

Green chartreuse ? The less powerful of the two. Amelia has more feeding and playing responsibilites when she gets home. When you are away you shall need feeders to come in, (you have a house sitter, that's resolved a major worry - lucky you) We always have to make arrangements with our neighbours - but fortunately, mature cats dont need a huge amount of management. We would not have any other pet.

Yes, enjoy your new addition, I hope they become friends.

Did you, you must have settled on a name ?

A major U turn in policy late last night, we await a spat in cabinet this morning

They may keep it away from the media though.

We can't pick her up until Jan, which suits everyone. Wouldn't go away and leave a tiny little soul under the care of a jealous previously only child cat. Oh no. Not even with a house sitter.

Name is still Fo or Faux, which I'm not keen on because she most definitely is not faux. I think something will jump out at me - perhaps while on hol. Something exotic and pale and girly. Clos is great, but as before, too like shortened Chloe.

Perfect. Have suggested it to Amelia, but she's adamant. Will keep going because it is just exactly the right name.

Goody, goody, goosy. Don't understand how 2 bottles from the same batch can be so different though.

That is a reasonable question Ba, that I'm also asking ! Serving temp has a bearing though.

Wither Hills '09 on offer again at Waitrose for £5.99

Did we come to a conclusion on this wine ???

Message for Mr Goose when he does re-appear, I don't want to buy another bottle of the simple '09 gooseberry pie and candy syrup - I'd rather not, please, whatever the bargain. Your opinion Goose ?

Ba, surely the noble grape for you, I'd much rather bank on your Riesling choices, if I may. I know you take your MSB super cool.

I already have 3 more Withers. Goose derided his first bottle but liked the second. Was there not a seperate Seesaw post (can't find it)? He hated that too. I loved it, and there were other good comments (pontac??).
Not accurate with the MSB temps, Dunc, but I don't think that the Withers (like most others) will cope with higher temps. In winter I start at cellar temp and go cooler, whilst in summer I start at fridge temp and let it warm.

Thanks for the confidence with the Riesling Mr. D. but that is a minefield and I am only a glugger. Might start a new "Riesling" post though. Lots of scope there.

Ba, you should start a Riesling thread........Riesling only please. Since it is a wine that we have not done to death. I have little experience, so I'm all ears for opinion.

Ba, if you can possibly refrain from pink eared sugary kittens on this.

Aha Ba, you are clearly a W. Blake fan.

Tiger Tiger burning bright,
In the middle of the night;
What immortal hand or eye.
Could.......... ? you complete Ba
