Finest* Picpoul de Pinet AOC 2011 7.29 Spicy nose. Very savoury and food-friendly taste. This would work with so many starters. Lovely and herbal. Finest* Saint Mont 2010 6.99 Sulphurous nose. Nice tangy palate. The nose would put me off. Tesco Mâcon Blanc Villages 2011 4.99 Very little aroma. A touch of spritz. Neutral flavour. Tesco White Burgundy 2010 6.79 Little aroma. No obvious oak. A neutral French chardonnay. Blason de Bourgogne Pouilly Fuissé 2010 13.79 Little aroma. I just can't get on with this brand. This has none of the ripeness or richness you might hope for in a Pouilly Fuisse. Finest* Touraine Sauvignon 2011 6.99 Green, catty aroma. Think flowering currant. Catty flavour. A fair stab at Touraine Sauvignon. Finest* Côtes de Gascogne 2011 7.29 This is gros manseng and sauvignon. Not very overt nose. Nice taste. Very full-flavoured and savoury. Good. |
