Rustenberg Merlot Shiraz Cabernet 2011
9.99
A bit closed on the nose. Pretty hot acidity and chalky, tongue-coating tannins.  I'm not sure this will ever come together.

The Garden Route Shiraz 2011
7.99
Sweet, fruity nose. Pleasant, fruity and warmish shiraz.

Bellingham Bernard Series Syrah 2010
10.99
Quite a roast-meaty nose. Also with some eucalyptus.  Non wine lovers will be backing off at this point. It's bewitching. Lovely taste as well. Savoury and balanced.  A real crowd-pleaser.

Emiliana O Syrah 2010
7.99
Very minty/eucalyptus nose. Dark and savoury taste.  Not terribly fruity.

Marques de Casa Concha Syrah 2008
11.99
Very farmyardy nose. Really, quite stinky. This is a lovely brand. This Casa Concha range is such a success. Really, very good.

Viña Chocalan Cabernet Franc Reserve 2010
11.99
Nice stalky nose. Pretty woody and stalky palate. Needs a slab of chargrilled steak.

Finest* Central Otago Pinot Noir 2010
9.99
Gorgeous aroma. Beautiful pinot. The taste is strangely confected, but I still love it.

The Lioness Pinot Noir 2010
12.99
Undergrowthy, composty nose. Mmm. Sweet, ripe and savoury.  A lovely, lovely wine.

Finest* Heritage Coonawarra Cabernet 2009
9.99
A lot of eucalyptus and mint on the nose. And some blackcurrant leaves. Typical Coonawarra cab and a reasonable price. Definitely not a fruity wine, though.

The Olive Branch Cabernet Shiraz 2010
11.99
Not a lot of aroma. Savoury and with warm alcohol.  Too much for me.

Ravenswood Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel 2009
9.99
Creamy oak on the nose. Lovely taste. Gentle tannin, vanilla-flavoured oak and nicely evolved fruit. Good.
