Château Peyrabon 2000, Cru Bourgeois, Haut-Médoc £12.99 13% Cork Very cedary and stalky nose, but quite floral as well. Animal taste. Good value for something from 2000. There’s a lot going on. Don’t buy it to lay down, but good dinner party wine. Château Fonplegade 2007, St Emilion Grand Cru Classé £30.00 13% Cork Beautifully aromatic. Wow, what a beautiful nose. Delicious in the palate. Quite light but with massive flavours. A lot of oak, some cedar, but spicy, like cinnamon. Really lovely. |
