Leyda Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2010, Leyda Valley £10.99 13.50% Screwcap Ripe and tropical nose. Really lovely nose. Bright and exciting taste. This really is very good. Floral and tropical and a million miles from the Loire. Leyda Single Vineyard Chardonnay 2009, Leyda Valley £10.99 14% Cork A bit flabby on the nose. It’s OK, but the competition for NW chardonnay is fierce and this doesn’t quite do it. LFE Gran Reserva Chardonnay 2011, Casablanca Valley £9.99 14% Screwcap Rich, sweet and fruity nose. Pretty sweet in the mouth. Really, very sweet. |
