100% Viura. The grapes were hand-harvested and pneumatically pressed. The juice was then cold macerated at 8 - 9°C for 6 - 8 hours and then barrel-fermented in new American oak at 16 - 18°C. Post ferment, the new wine was matured on lees with a weekly bâtonnage. Alc 13.2%, TA 5.57g/l, pH 3.27. Waitrose Wine Direct and 263 branches. Lovely, green, woody nose. So, so inviting to me. Oaky and typical white Rioja. I love this style of wine. Very green and complex flavours. Great with all sorts of herby foods. 06/10/11 |

Sounds nice, my style of Rioja blanco as well. Yum with the right supper. |
