Post subject:  Graham’s 10-Year-Old Tawny Port 19.99

06/10/11

A blend of Portuguese varieties from the Douro Valley such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, TinTA Barroca, TinTA Roriz, TinTA Amarela
and Tinto Cão. Graham’s wines come primarily from its own QuinTA dos Malvedos, QuinTA do Tua and QuinTA das Lages in the Rio Torto. The
vines are planted on schist and the grapes were hand-picked with a yield of 30hl/ha. A 2 - 3 day pre-ferment maceration was followed by
ferment in a mixture of traditional and robotic lagares and also in autovinification tanks. Fortifiied with the addition of approx. 20% of grape
spirit at 77% alcohol by volume. Matured in seasoned oak 534l casks. Winemaker Charles Symington. Alc 20.0%, TA 4.15g/l, pH 3.50, RS 117g/l.
Special Offer: Save £4.00, £19.99 - £15.99 from 07/12/11 to 03/01/12. Waitrose Wine Direct and 211 branches.

Tawny port never seems to smell of much. Quite fiery. Nicely woody and evolved.
