bought mine from Mentzendorff. Again, I don't know the retail price.

I expected this cuvee from Chanson to knock Jadot's MV '09 off it's * perch. Zero sulphur and preservatives, so up there in the 8 out of 10 mark

However... *It didn't ? Very French in style, white faint floral and quite minerally, crisp and clean. A pale and particularly linear wine, but almost zero nose on opening. Probably excellent with rock oysters and expensive white fish, as the wine has a higher lemon taste on the palate, (but no cantaloupe melon) and very little pith, but a higher acidity than most and a very trendy lightness.

As an aperatif - the Jadot seemed to have more going on, and more flavours to savoured.

I will finish the wine this evening, and see what more is to be found, hopefully some extra aroma will arrive.

Chanson picked early to make a chablis clone ? Who knows

A lovely Mâcon-Villages tonight. Discrete nose, but it's there, delicate start, but a lingering finish, lemon subsided and now there is some tropical fruits, white peach and a touch of fresh apricot. Bit of tangerine as well

This is good. Not better value than Jadot, but more sleek and sophisticated.

So how do I serve myself the next bottle ? Carafe, stir and air, carafe again with a splosh, carafe, then chill, just a little.
